It is always exciting when a new baby joins the family. Older siblings get a special sense of excitement as they are able to be fully immersed into the process of the new baby. Becoming a big sister is a special bond. Incorporating your older child into the maternity and newborn session starts the bond and excitement from the beginning. I personally found that the older the sibling the more they want to be involved in all aspects of the new baby. Sometimes a sense of jealousy or being forgotten can overtake a sibling but the more they feel like part of the process the easier the transition.
